About Us

January 31st, 2009

PsychologyResearch.org.uk is an independent community of researchers in psychology.
The infrastructure for the website was created by Lorenzo Vigentini, however the growing number of editors, contributors and members shows the strength of collective knowledge.

The site has two core aims:

- Provide interesting content for both researchers and people willing to find out more in psychology, but trying to filter only research-based psychology rather than folk psychology;

- Provide a scaffold for junior researchers (mostly postgraduates and final year undergraduates) to allow them to thrive in this multidisciplinary and challenging discipline

We will provide both original content and aggregated feeds with interesting research from other existing blogs and sites relevant to research in psychology making this site a one-stop site for interesting and fresh research ideas. Hence, you will find a number of posts originating from the blogosphere (but always linked to their original source and appropriately cited) and some original posts authored by PsychologyResearch.org.uk members.

Our vibrant community allows researchers to share ideas, get perspective on tools and techniques, and find out how these compare with other option share by members from the community.

One of the most powerful and admired aspects of our website is the collective knowledge of our users. This is best showcased in the blog posts from our editors or on our discussion boards, where many researchers post messages, ask questions or offer an answer to someone else’s.

It’s about people helping people change their lives in real and measurable ways, starting now!
